The novella Labyrinthus follows the story of Princess Ariadna, who helps Theseus, a hero from Athens, escape a labyrinth. Ariadna betrays her father, King Minos, by helping the man who killed his minotaur flee. The novella is told from the perspective of the Princess Ariadna. The traditional Theseus myth--which Labyrinthus is based on--is told from Theseus' perspective.
The novella Agrippina Mater Fortis tells the story of Agrippina, a Roman mother to sons Rufus and Piso. Throughout the story, Agrippina tries to keep her secret that she likes to wear armor and is very strong from her family and other Romans. Agrippina can fight just like a Roman man, however, she cannot let anyone know. |
